  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 12 tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup green onions (optional)
  • Salsa or hot sauce, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the crescent dough onto a large baking sheet or pizza stone, pressing the seams together to create a seamless crust.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly puffed. Let it cool while you prepare the toppings.

Step 2: Cook the Taco Meat

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the taco seasoning and ½ cup of water, stirring well to coat the meat. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 3: Assemble the Taco Pizza

  1. Spread the cooked taco meat evenly over the baked crust.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top.
  3. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.

Step 4: Add Fresh Toppings

  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  2. Dollop sour cream across the top.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and green onions over the pizza for a burst of fresh flavor.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

  1. Slice into squares or wedges and serve with salsa, hot sauce, or guacamole on the side for dipping.
