- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1 cup chocolate chips

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Chocolate Truffles 🍬
- Heat the Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
- Melt the Chocolate: Add the chopped dark chocolate to the warm cream and let it sit for 1 minute. Stir until smooth and fully combined. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Chill the Mixture: Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm.
- Shape the Truffles: Once firm, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls. Roll in cocoa powder to coat. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Chocolate Cookies 🍪
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter & Sugar: In a separate bowl, beat together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Egg & Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Bake the Cookies:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until set but still soft.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Step 3: Make the Chocolate Pastries 🥐
- Prepare the Pastry Dough:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into triangles.
- Fill & Seal:
- Place a small amount of chopped dark chocolate in the center of each triangle.
- Fold over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden crust.
- Bake Until Golden:
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
