- 2 tbsp (30ml) grenadine or strawberry syrup
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for fresh strawberries)
For Topping:
- Whipped cream
- Pineapple wedges
- Maraschino cherries
- Extra strawberry syrup drizzle
Instructions
Preparation
Step 1: Blend the Strawberry Swirl
In a blender, combine the strawberries, grenadine (or strawberry syrup), and sugar. Blend until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2: Blend the Piña Colada Base
In a separate blender, add pineapple juice, coconut cream, frozen pineapple chunks, white rum, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Layer the Drink
Pour a portion of the strawberry swirl into the bottom of a hurricane or tall glass. Slowly pour the piña colada mixture on top. Swirl lightly with a straw or spoon for a marbled effect.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Top with whipped cream, a pineapple wedge, a maraschino cherry, and a drizzle of extra strawberry syrup. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Best Coconut Cream: Use unsweetened coconut cream for the best consistency.
- Frozen Pineapple: Helps create a thicker, colder texture.
- Blender Tip: Blend the strawberry mix first to avoid cross-contamination of colors.
- Storage: Best served fresh, but can be frozen and re-blended later.
