Nutty Irishman

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Irish cream liqueur (such as Baileys)
  • 1 oz hazelnut liqueur (such as Frangelico)
  • 1 oz brewed coffee (hot or cold)
  • Ice (for serving)
  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Cocoa powder or crushed hazelnuts (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preparation:

Step 1: Brew your coffee. You can use freshly brewed hot coffee or cold brew, depending on your preference. If you’re opting for iced coffee, let it cool slightly before mixing.

Step 2: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Irish cream liqueur and hazelnut liqueur. If you’re using hot coffee, ensure it’s not boiling, as it can curdle the cream.

Step 3: Add the brewed coffee to the shaker. If you prefer a colder drink, add a handful of ice to the shaker to chill the mixture.

Step 4: Shake the mixture gently for about 15 seconds to combine the flavors. Avoid shaking too vigorously if using cream to prevent it from frothing excessively.

Step 5: Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass or over fresh ice in a rocks glass.

Notes

Ensure your ingredients are well-chilled for a refreshing drink. If using whipped cream as a topping, consider chilling it beforehand to maintain its texture.
