Ingredients
Ingredients
-
1½ oz vodka
-
½ oz blue curaçao
-
½ oz cranberry juice
-
Ice cubes
-
Sugar (for the rim)
Optional Garnish
-
Citrus twist (lemon, lime, or orange)
-
Tropical candy (like sour belts or gummy fruit slices)
Instructions
Step 1: Rim the glass with sugar
Run a citrus wedge (lemon or lime) around the rim of your cocktail glass. Dip the edge into sugar spread on a plate to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.
Step 2: Fill shaker with ice
Add ice to a cocktail shaker to chill the drink thoroughly.
Step 3: Add vodka, blue curaçao, and cranberry juice
Pour in 1½ oz vodka, ½ oz blue curaçao, and ½ oz cranberry juice.
Step 4: Shake until chilled
Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is icy cold.
Step 5: Strain and serve
Strain into the sugar-rimmed glass over fresh ice. For a sleeker look, serve in a martini glass without ice.
Step 6: Garnish and enjoy
Top with a citrus twist or a fun tropical candy on the rim. Serve immediately.
Notes
-
Use fresh cranberry juice for a less sugary, more tart finish
-
Blue curaçao provides both color and orange flavor—don’t skip it
-
To keep the sugar rim intact, avoid overfilling the glass
-
Chill all ingredients in advance if you’re not using a shaker
-
For a smoother texture, double strain if using crushed ice
