Ingredients
Ingredients
- 8 tostada shells or corn tortillas

- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, avocado, etc.)
Instructions
Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Arrange the tostada shells on a baking sheet.
Step 2:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon as it browns. Once fully cooked, drain any excess grease.
Step 3:
Add the water and taco seasoning to the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine, and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
Step 4:
While the beef is cooking, heat the refried beans. You can warm them in the microwave or on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 5:
Place the tostada shells in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes, or until they are warm and crispy. If using corn tortillas, lightly spray them with oil before baking to achieve a crisp texture.
Step 6:
To assemble, spread a generous layer of warmed refried beans onto each tostada shell. Top with the seasoned ground beef.
Step 7:
Add your favorite toppings, such as shredded lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, diced avocado, or jalapeños. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
king Notes
- For extra crispy shells, bake the tostada shells a little longer, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- You can double the recipe for larger gatherings or meal prep for the week.
- If your refried beans are too thick, stir in a tablespoon of water or milk to thin them out for easier spreading.
