- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 Thai bird’s eye chilies, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- Cooked jasmine rice
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients.
- Prepare the beef by seasoning it lightly with salt and pepper (optional).
- Make the sauce by mixing soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar in a small bowl.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and chilies for 30 seconds, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the sauce to the beef and stir well, then add fresh Thai basil leaves and cook until wilted.
- Serve the beef mixture over jasmine rice.
